Testimonials
War ravaged the Eastern Congo-DRC in 1996. My mother was killed on the spot. I was then a newborn. My father fled with me to Masisi district in Muhungwe village. A kindhearted lady took over my care while my father in refuge found himself hopeless. I grew up by the grace of God. My father was kidnapped and killed in the subsequent war in 1998 in Muhungwe by rebels fighting the kabila regime. My new mother took care of me. She could not send me to school. Her son in Canada asked I go to Goma. I went to Goma and have been to school owing to the scholarship of SWB I'm now in grade 6. I know how to read and to write. I want to be a doctor. I am thankfull to you all for your compassion. May the Lord bless you and all yours. May the Lord augment where you sow. Thank you. Marie-Louise, Goma, North-Kivu, Congo-DRC.
